About the author

As an internship-trained emergency veterinarian with over a decade of experience, Dr. Chivvis takes great pride in helping pets and relieving pain and suffering. She also loves interacting with pet families, collaborating with them, and educating them about their furry friends.Inspired to write children's books when her first child was born, Dr. Chivvis found her true calling when she realized she could combine her passion for entertaining young minds with teaching about veterinary medicine. She believes strongly in the importance of teamwork in pet care, involving everyone from the veterinary crew to the pet families themselves. ABC dog and cat coloring books were the first in a series of educational resources that Dr. Chivvis has been working on. Since then, Dr Chivvis has provided an extensive Activity Book for young children, and an adult guide to dog health emergencies. Finally, teen and adult coloring books that are pet themed are further used to enhance relaxation and bonding with pets. Through these resources, combined with her upcoming children's book series and educational website (managed by her company, Critter Care Collective, LLC), Dr Chivvis hopes to provide an educational asset for readers of all ages, to further their understanding of their pets and their needs.
