About the author

Jorge Marx Gómez is Full Professor and Chair of Business Information Systems at Carl von Ossietzky University, Oldenburg, Germany. He is the Director of the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (COAST) at Oldenburg University and a Board Member of the Energy Group at OFFIS-Institute (Oldenburg). Furthermore, he is the German Speaker of the working group Environmental Management Information Systems in the GI (Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.) association. In addition, Dr. Marx Gómez is a Board Member of the Oldenburg Center for Sustainability Economics and Management—CENTOS (Oldenburg University)—and a Board Member of the Open-Source Business Alliance Group (OSB). His research interests include very large business applications, business information systems, federated ERP systems, business intelligence, data warehousing, interoperability, and environmental management information systems. 
 
Antoine Gatera is a Researcher at the Faculty of Education, University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB), Rwanda. He specializes in the Internet of Things (IoT) with a focus on wireless sensor networks. His research spans diverse applications, including machine learning for road accident forecasting, intelligent transportation systems, and IoT-based solutions for health care and agriculture.
 
Devotha G. Nyambo is Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Tanzania. She is Recipient of the prestigious UNESCO-L’Oreal Young Talents Awards 2023 and also 2024 Mandela Washington Fellow. Dr. Nyambo leads the Artificial Intelligence and Complexity Sciences research group at the NM-AIST and the Agriculture and Environmental Conservation group at Africa's Anglophone Artificial Intelligence for Development (AI4D) Multidisciplinary Research Lab.
