This volume presents the proceedings of the 2024 ISPGAYA conference. The papers in this book deal with business sustainability, with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. The publication of this proceedings intends to increase and dynamize investigation linking theory and practice, always pointing to innovative approaches. The conference and this resulting book intend to involve a wide variety of stakeholders in the direction of a "smart" national and global development model that contributes toward the achievement of 2030 agenda outlined by the United Nations. About the author
Fernando Luís Almeida: PhD in Engineering and Computer Science from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). Holds a Masters in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship and a degree in Computer Engineering and Computing by FEUP. In the last 15 years of activity he has performed professional functions in the field of university polytechnic education, business, and applied research in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship and information technologies. Integrated researcher at INESC TEC’s Center for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship. He is a founding member of the US-based International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP). Currently, Director of the Higher School of Science and Technology as Coordinating Professor at ISPGAYA.
José Carlos Morais: Ph.D. in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FAH, UP of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FAH, UP) since 2010, the year when received the Principal Lecturer at Instituto Superior Politécnico Gaia (ISPGAYA). Director of the Journal of Psicologia, Educação e Cultura andresearcher as member in CEOS.PP (Center for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic of Porto). From 2014 to the present, he has held the presidency of the ISPGAYA Technical-Scientific Council. He teaches courses in undergraduate and masters cycles in the area of social sciences, research methods and humanities. Organizer of the 2022, 2023 and 2024 editions of the ISPGAYA international congresses dedicated to the theme of «sustainability». Since 2017 he has regularly participated in international collaboration programs-ERASMUS in Europe and in the USA.
José Duarte Santos: PhD in Management from Vigo University. Holds an MSc in Marketing and a degree in Business Sciences. Between 1987 and 2002, he played various roles in sales, marketing, and management of companies in the information technology sector. From 2003 to 2018, he was a management and marketing consultant. Since 1999, he has been a professor in higher education in Portugal in the fields of management and marketing. He is currently a marketing professor at the Accounting and Business School of the Polytechnic of Porto (ISCAP/P.PORTO). He is also a senior researcher at the CEOS.PP - Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal. His main areas of research are relational marketing and digital strategies of customer relationship.
