About the author

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar did Ph.D. in Plant Sciences from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad-Pakistan in 2011. Currently, he is working as Professor (Tenured), and Incharge Herbarium (ISL) in the Department of Plant Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad Pakistan. He is a renowned world scientist and botanist in the field of medicinal plants, plant biodiversity, palynology, plant systematics and biodiversity. He is the founder of the first Melissopalynology at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad Pakistan. Dr. Zafar has over 400 impact factor publications and ISI Web Sciences (citations ±7900, H-index 46), Google Scholar Citation (citations ±15515, H-index 62, i10-index 319) and in diverse fields of Plant Sciences. In addition to this he is the author of 13 international books and 23 book chapters published largely by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, etc. across the world. He is the Editorial board member of various journals of repute. He has successfully supervised/produced 18 Ph.D. and 72 M.Phil. research scholars in advanced areas of Plant Systematics & Biodiversity.
Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad is a renowned world top Plant Scientist and Director of Sino-Pak Biodiversity Research Centre for Agro-Biological Resources, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is an Honorary Distinguished professor in China and Uzbekistan. He is the author of 777 articles (citations ±22537, H-index 74, i10-index 440) and 60 international books & book chapters. He supervised 47 PhDs & Post Doctorates, 180 M.Phil/M.Sc/BS research scholars. He is the recipient of the highest Civil Award (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz). He is a fellow member of IUCN, PAS, TWAS , AFOB, NAS, PIFI- CAS, Flora of Pan Himalaya- China, TUBITAK, MEVLANA (Turkey), HEC, PBS and BSP.
Prof. Dr. Meral Kekeçoğlu major research area focuses on honey bee, beekeeping and bee products. Kekeçoğlu discovered the Yığılca honey bee ecotype, which is naturally found in the Yığılca district of Düzce, in the scope of her PhD thesis on Turkey's honey bee biodiversity in 2007. After completing her doctorate at Agrıcultural University of Athens, she was appointed as assistant professor in Düzce University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology in 2008. After beginning her academic career at Düzce University, Dr. Kekeçoğlu first went to work to establish a Beekeeping Development Center in the town. Dr. Kekeçoğlu has added value to the district with her social enterprise projects and scientific publications. The process involving Dr. Kekeçoğlu's transformation of knowledge and scientific study results into a value for the development of rural area brought Turkey's first European Entrepreneurship Award by the project titled "Together We Can Do More" with the theme of beekeeping honey production forests and sustainable development in 2011, thereby bringing Turkey's prestige. She was selected as the "Changemaker in Turkey" by the Sabancı Foundation for the year 2012 due to her evaluation of science for the benefit of society and her activities focused on regional development. Dr. Kekeçoğlu is a member of the ISO Bee Products Mirror Committee and works in the commission on bee products standards.
Prof. Dr. Trobjon Makhkamov an professor of Department of Forestry and Landscape Design, at Tashkent State Agrarian University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Previously, Trobjon Makhkamov was head of department of the National herbarium of Uzbekistan at Institute of Botany, and head of department of Botany and Plant physiology of the National University of Uzbekistan, head of laboratory of introduction of medicinal plants at Tashkent Botanical Garden. Trobjon Makhkamov focus on ecological and biological research of invasive plant species in Uzbekistan.
Prof. Dr. Mozaniel Santana de Oliveira holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and a Licensed teacher in Chemistry from the Venda Nova do Imigrante University Center, UNIFAVENI. He has specializations in methods and management in food preservation and in teaching chemistry, both from the Brazilian Union of Colleges UNIBF. He holds a master's degree and a doctorate in Food Science and Technology (UFPA). His thesis focused on the extraction of essential oils from different plant matrices using supercritical fluid (CO2) and conventional methods. He completed a Postdoctoral internship in the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences, with an emphasis on Tropical Botany at UFRA/MPEG. Dr. Oliveira has 247 academic (scientific) works, including 120 articles in international journals. He has published 12 books, 11 of which are internationally published by renowned publishers such as Bentham Science, IntechOpen, De Gruyter, CRC Press Taylor Francis and Springer Nature, in addition to having contributed 59 chapters in international books and 62 abstracts in conferences. His work includes areas such as extraction of secondary metabolites from medicinal and aromatic plants using supercritical fluid, hydrodistillation, steam distillation and solvent extraction. To date, he has edited over 300 scientific articles and has an H-index of 25 in Web of Science, 25 in Scopus and 32 in Google Scholar. 
Dr. Salman Majeed is a young scientist in the field of plant sciences and working as Assistant Professor at Department of Botany, University of Mianwali, Punjab Pakistan, particularly known for his expertise on plant biodiversity and taxonomic studies of deserts. He has published 50 research articles in various journals of good repute in impact factor journals, Google Scholar Citation (citations ±654, H-index 19, i10-index 27), and diverse fields of plant sciences. He has authored two international books and five international book chapters published by Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis/CRC Press. Dr. Majeed has participated in a number of conferences held at the national and international levels. His fields of interest are wild plant biodiversity of desert areas, plant taxonomy, food chemistry, nutraceuticals, palynology anatomy, melissopalynology, and medicinal plants ethnobotany. Dr. Salman's research focuses on exploring the melliferous bee flora pollen and morpho‐palynological features for the classification and taxonomy of several genera and species as well as the guiding principles for raising beekeeping products in developing countries.
