About the author










Marcin Grabowski, PhD, is Associate Professor at the Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University (JU) in Kraków and the director of the Centre for International Studies and Development at the JU. His research interests focus on the Asia-Pacific Rim, especially institutional arrangements in the region, American and Chinese foreign policy, theories of IR and International Economics.
Luca Verzichelli is Full Professor of Political Science at the University of Siena. He completed his PhD in Political Science at the University of Florence and was Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Siena and Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna. He is and has been member of the Editorial Board of the journals Polis, European Political Science, The Journal of Legislative Studies, Southern European Society and Politics. He has been Chief Editor of the Italian Political Science Review (2010-2014). He is currently Chair of the Italian Political Science Association and member of the Executive Board of the Coimbra Group of European Universities. He has published 12 volumes and several peer-reviewed articles in different fields, including élite studies, comparative political institutions and history of European political science.
