About the author
Dr. Khaled Fares Al-Ali, MD, Dr. Khaled Fares Al-Ali serves as the Head of theDepartment of Neurosurgery at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. His clinical expertise encompasses spinal surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and pediatric neurosurgery. He is recognized as one of the pioneering Emirati neurosurgeons and holds the distinction of being the first neurosurgeon from the UAE to obtain North American board certification. Dr. Al-Ali played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Emirates Society of Neurosurgery and was instrumental in introducing advanced neurosurgical techniques to the region, including minimally invasive spine surgery. He remains an active contributor to both the national and international neurosurgical communities and is widely regarded for his commitment to medical education and his humanitarian work in conflict-affected area.
Dr. Hashim Talib Hashim, MD: A doctor from Baghdad Medical College starting his career in surgery, he is a researcher and has more than 170 papers, many of them were published in international PubMed indexed journals. He created the idea of “Postconscious” and “Gene’s communication theory”. He participated in more than 25 conferences and medical events either nationally and internationally to present his papers and researches. He was awarded many prized for the best paper and best presentation in three competitions and the youngest researcher award in Iraq. He is also a member of the international global health network that focuses on developing papers in global health related topics. He published seven books with Springer.
