For the conceptualization of quantitative research, we will start from the definition of research that, according to Hernández and Mendoza (2018), indicates it is a "set of critical and empirical systematiccritical and empirical systematic processes that are applied to the study of a phenomenon or problem with the result (or objective) of expanding its knowledge" (p. 4).Quantitative research is validated and accepted by science because it focuses on the collection and analysis of numerical data to understand and explain phenomena. The ability of this method to measure variables and use statistics to evaluate and extrapolate results responds to its distinctive character.
