A former soccer player, she took part in women's competitions linked to the Bahia Football Federation and the Northeast Women's Championship. A referee since 1996, she became a professional in 2002 and has officiated in pre-season matches for the CBF and in the Brazil Cup for both sexes; in a classic (BaVi de Juniores) - Bahia X Vitória) for the FBF and flagged the women's preliminary match "Os amigos de Ronaldinho Gaúcho", in Bahia. She graduated in Physical Education in 2006 from the Faculty of Agrarian and Health Sciences (UNIME) in Bahia; in 2013 she joined the Enlace Research Group at the State University of Bahia after meeting Professor Suely Aldir Messeder. This meeting marked the author's academic life, initiating her theoretical knowledge of gender and sexuality, resulting in her entering the master's program in Cultural Criticism and obtaining the title of master, the result of the brilliant dissertation that culminated in this work based on experience.
