Simultaneous engineering and just-in-time are techniques used to solve problems and optimise costs. These solutions are based on reducing inventories to the point where there is no need to store raw materials or products, reducing time losses that are proportional to costs, repairing possible errors in the production line quickly and efficiently, and offering a reliable, high-quality, competitive product with the least possible effort to reduce costs, thereby balancing the gains and losses from introducing the product to the market. The objective of this book was to investigate how Simultaneous Engineering contributes to the implementation of Just in Time in organisations. To this end, a bibliographic research on the subject was first carried out, followed by a case study. After analysing the study, it was concluded that the introduction of Simultaneous Engineering in an organisation that adopts the Just in Time system enables behavioural change among employees, allowing interaction between all sectors of the company, with a view to achieving production objectives more efficiently and quickly.
