This book will deal with the use of the game Minecraft as an artistic medium. The importance of the study stems from the fact that there has been a recent growth in research into electronic games in the academic world, and this one differs from others in that it aims to use an electronic game as an artistic medium. In this sense, the work refers to the game as an aesthetic, cultural process, as art, based on the creative processes involved. To this end, it addresses discussions on the subject brought up by various authors, researchers and theorists. It also analyses the subject in terms of current artistic manifestations through electronic games, in different productions legitimised by official institutions or not. In terms of practical production, it consists of artistic creations made mainly by the author on the Minecraft game platform. Italo Calvino's literary work 'Invisible Cities' was selected as an element for establishing personal poetics, based on the proposition of creation through narrative, via the cities described in the work, which generated a series of artistic productions.
