Taking as its starting point the dissatisfaction expressed by students at the foreign language institute at the Naâma university center in Algeria, the book first examines the importance of professional didactics in the teaching field, and its crucial role in improving the pedagogical skills of future teachers. It then highlights the challenges faced by these teachers as they make the transition to the classroom. It underlines the need for adequate teacher training for the professions within which professional didactics has emerged. The book goes on to outline the various contributions that didactics can make to teacher training. The study concludes with an interpretation of the data, which reveals a link between improving pedagogical skills and bringing professional didactics into play, offering approaches and tools for developing teachers' professional skills and improving their pedagogical practice.
