Soil is essential for agriculture and environmental conservation, especially in quilombola communities, where many families depend on agriculture. This study analyzes the quality of the soil in the Comunidade Remanescente de Quilombo (CRQ), in the Desengano State Park, Campos dos Goytacazes-RJ, to identify its nutritional and preservation conditions, proposing sustainable management practices. The analysis is justified by the importance of soil for food security and cultural preservation in these communities. The methodology involved collecting samples from corn and fruit-growing areas, followed by physical and chemical analysis of pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), organic matter and granulometry. The results indicated sandy loam soil with a good supply of nutrients, but in need of moisture retention and acidity control. The perennial crop showed higher acidity, while the corn crop showed higher organic matter. Green manuring and mulching are recommended to improve soil fertility and sustainability, promoting food security for the community.
