About the author

Dr. Rongqiao He is a professor at the State Key Laboratory of Brain and Cognitive Science, Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He currently serves as an editor-in-chief for Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics. From 2007 to 2021, he held the role of editor-in-chief in Microbiology China and now he is the advisor of Microbiology China. In addition, Dr. He is a dedicated editorial board member for Biochimica Biophysica Acta-GS and Science China Life Sciences. Dr. He’s research focuses on the relationship between the structure and function of neuronal proteins, protein chemical modification, misfolding, and neurodegeneration.
