About the author
Ryo Mikami has worked in a major coffee chain, a micro-roastery, and a wine shop. He later joined Wataru Co., Ltd., a specialty coffee importer, handling sales, sourcing, market exploration, and competition coaching. As a Cup of Excellence judge, he participates in global competitions and has coached Japan's team for the World Coffee Roasting Championship. In 2019, he co-founded Roast Design Coffee, a roastery, with his wife, Hitomi. He oversees green bean procurement, quality design, and consulting. Under the pen name "Coffee Fanatic Mikami," he shares insights in various media.
