About the author










Rangan Gupta is Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Pretoria. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Connecticut, USA. He conducts research in the fields of macroeconomics and financial economics. His research has appeared in high impact factor international journals such as International Journal of Forecasting, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Journal of Macroeconomics, Economic Modelling, Emerging Markets Review, Journal of Forecasting, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Energy, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Quantitative Finance, Resources Policy. 

Prof. (Dr.) Srikanta Patnaik is Director of IIMT, Bhubaneswar. He has received his Ph.D. (engineering) on computational intelligence from Jadavpur University, India, in 1999 and supervised 24 Ph.D. theses and more than 60 M.Tech. theses in the area of machine intelligence, soft computing applications, and re-engineering. Dr. Patnaik has published more than 100 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He is Author of 2 text books and edited 72 books and few invited book chapters, published by leading international publisher like Springer-Verlag, Kluwer Academic, etc. Dr. Patnaik was Principal Investigator of TAPTEC project “Building Cognition for Intelligent Robot” sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and major research project “Machine Learning and Perception using Cognition Methods” sponsored by University Grant Commission. He is Editors-in-Chief of book series on “Modeling and Optimization in Science and Technology” published from Springer, Germany. 

Prof. Anna Esposito is Director of the Laboratory of Behavioural Cognitive Systems (BeCogSys) at Department of Psychology,  Università delle Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", Caserta, Italy.  The BeCogSys lab had an excellent international reputation thanks to the advanced research activities  in the field of behavioural and emotional analyses for envisaging mathematical models of human behavioral exchanges  and human adaptation dynamics and developing algorithms devoted to the implementation of emotionally and socially believable ICT interfaces. Anna  holds a ‘Laurea Degree’ summa cum laude in information technology and computer science and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics and computer science with a thesis developed at MIT, RLE, Cambridge, USA (03/1993-02/1995). Afterward (1995-2000), she worked as Researcher at the International Institute for Advanced Scientific Studies (IIASS). Her current research interests are on behavioural and related cognitive features to code/decode meaningful interactional exchanges, emotional conducts, and actions/reactions behaviours.
