Unleash Your Inner Baker with Easy and Flavorful Sourdough Recipes! Discover the Joy of Home Baking, Create Mouthwatering Loaves, and Master the Art of Sourdough.
In Bread & Butter, first-time author and working mom, Laura Fowler invites you on a delightful culinary journey. Drawing from her own experiences over the past two years, Laura simplifies the process of making sourdough, turning it into an accessible art form that fits into any busy lifestyle.
Laura's unique take on sourdough doesn't stop at the baking. She takes it a step further by pairing her loaves with homemade butters that enhance and compliment each bread's distinct flavor profile. Imagine the burst of flavor when you bite into a slice of maple cider sourdough slathered with brown sugar butter or a piece of double chocolate sourdough with raspberry butter. Not to mention the savory goodness of an Asiago loaf combined with chive butter, or the spicy kick of jalapeno cheddar paired with chili lime butter!
This book is more than a collection of recipes. It's a testament to the power of patience, practice, and creativity. Laura shares her journey from being a sourdough skeptic to a passionate home baker, producing six to eight loaves weekly. She introduces you to Harriett, her sourdough starter, and the collaborative process they've undertaken to develop over 20 recipes together.
Bread & Butter is filled with Laura's success stories, beginner-friendly advice, and a wealth of tips to help you understand and develop your unique baking process. Whether you're a seasoned baker looking for fresh ideas or a novice eager to dip your hands in dough, this book is your guide to mastering the art of sourdough.
Join Laura and Harriett in their flavorful adventure and get ready to transform your home baking experience. With Bread & Butter, you'll learn that creating successful, flavorful loaves is not just possible, but also incredibly rewarding and fun!

About the author

Laura Fowler is a working mom and first-time author who grew up in Park Hills, Missouri. She now resides in beautiful Ste. Genevieve in Southeast Missouri. Laura has been married for 30 years and has two wonderful children. Her passion for math and science led her to a career in pharmacy, where she has worked as a pharmacist for 25 years. Laura began baking at a young age with her Grandma Martha, making holiday cookies and cinnamon rolls. Today, she enjoys baking sourdough bread and sharing her creations with friends and family. She finds that the sourdough-making process mirrors science: "You have to experiment with your starter and environment until you find the perfect equation. Once you find that, you can do anything!"
