This accessibly-written textbook aims to give a helping hand to both students and teachers in intercultural environments. Revolving around the significance of culture in communication, and the nuances arising from similarities and differences between cultures, each unit is built on an authentic selection of textual fragments. About the author

Marijana Prodanović is an associate professor in English linguistics at Singidunum University, Belgrade, Serbia, and Kauno Kolegija, Kaunas, Lithuania. She is an international communicator, teacher, and teacher trainer, with extensive experience in cross-cultural pragmatics, as well as emerging ELT trends, seen through the eyes of communication.
Begoña Crespo is a full professor at the Faculty of Philology, University of A Coruña, Spain. She is an academic specializing in discourse analysis and corpus linguistics who is also very passionate about EMI and internalisation practices in higher education.
Jonathan Pendlebury has worked as an EFL teacher for over 25 years, teaching students at Belgrade University’s Department of English. Aside from a keen interest in methodology, Jonathan is passionate about the role culture plays in contextualising and inspiring language learning.
