Das Clowns- und Zirkusthema taucht in der Welt der Kunst immer wieder auf. Auch in der Musik ist es präsent: Mit Arnold Schönbergs "Pierrot Lunaire" und den "Circus Days and Nights" von Philip Glass ist der Clown sogar in die Opernhäuser eingezogen und inspirierte damit die Porträt-affine Künstlerin Aga Cela, sich intensiv mit dem Thema auseinanderzusetzen.
