On the 6th of April 2024, three friends set off from the picturesque French town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, ready to tackle the iconic 800km pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Joined later by another old schoolfriend, and supported by others at 'home', they journeyed through history, culture, and camaraderie on the famous Camino Francés, one of the world's most cherished and transformative walks.
They came for different reasons-some for the religious significance, some for the physical challenge, and some simply for the adventure. But whatever their motives, the Camino has a way of weaving together the paths of those who walk it, and their experience was no different. Closer to 60 than 20, they also wanted to prove that age is no barrier to a good challenge.
Filled with laughter, unexpected friendships, and the beauty of the Spanish countryside, this is the story of four 'eejits' taking on the journey of a lifetime. From breathtaking views to heartwarming encounters, this is a tale of friendship, self-discovery, and the power of walking The Way.
Join them as they dander across Spain, one step at a time, meeting strangers who would become family and discovering more about themselves with each new horizon. The Camino isn't just a walk-it's a life-changing adventure.
