Journalist for over two decades, he has contributed to A Historical Companion to Postcolonial Literatures in English (2005) edited by Prem Poddar and David Johnson, Edinburgh University Press. He lives in Gurgaon with wife Jyoti, daughter Jahnavi and Dalmatian Bella.
