About the author

Fuzhan Xie, chairman of China Foundation for Human Rights Development,  former President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Xie’s areas of academic interest include macroeconomic policy, public policy and regional development policy. 
Fang Cai, chief expert of National Think Tank and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, former Vice President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). His main research fields are labor economics and population economics Economic growth, income distribution, China's economic reform, etc.
