Species from the Annonaceae family can be propagated by seeds and vegetative methods. However, most of the species in this family have inhibited germination as a result of the dormancy imposed by the presence of inhibiting substances, which slow down the germination process, which generally takes place irregularly, making it impossible to produce seedlings in a homogeneous way. One of the alternatives for propagation is asexual reproduction via in vitro cloning or micropropagation.
