Conservation use of the soil and the technology used in integrated systems are more efficient than traditional systems in all the aspects analysed, including the financial one. The higher productivity per hectare of meat and plant mass reflects the benefits of these systems and shows the harmonious relationship between the soil-plant-animal components. This is due to the activities used, such as the Direct Planting System (DPS), which, due to its form, encourages the formation of a dead vegetation cover on the soil (straw) that serves as a protective layer against the actions of rain and solar radiation, reducing temperature and conserving humidity, and improving physical structure and fertility. Crop-Livestock Integration (CLI) systems should therefore be increasingly used in the search for sustainability in the countryside.
