OIT This report reveals some of the major challenges to be overcome in order to fully guarantee the quality of tourism services provided in Benin. Despite a rich cultural heritage and major reforms to modernize and make the Beninese environment attractive to tourists, it is worth mentioning that some tourists continue to have a poor perception of the tourist experience, due to road congestion by motorcycle cabs and street vendors, dissatisfaction with reception and insufficient services, and a low desire to revisit and stay in Benin due to complex administrative procedures for entry and stay. To address these shortcomings, the dissertation used a methodology combining descriptive, analytical, qualitative and quantitative approaches, with tools such as questionnaires, interview guides and participatory observation. The research revealed that these problems are detrimental to the country's attractiveness as a tourist destination. At the end of this study, we propose a number of recommendations to improve these shortcomings.
