About the author

He Qinhua
is a top-tier expert in Chinese legal history. He is the former president of East China University of Political Science and Law, the current president of the National Association for the Study of Foreign Legal History, and the vice president of the China Judicial Research Society. He has published over 100 works and more than 200 research papers in top journals. He has been titled as the “Top Ten Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Jurists in China” and “National Famous Teachers”, and enjoys a special allowance from the State Council. He has studied twice abroad at the Law Faculty, University of Tokyo.
