The climate crisis is also a health crisis. It is therefore crucial that we all understand how our environment and our health are connected. At the interface between sustainable climate protection and health management, numerous approaches can be identified that combine environmental and climate protection with health benefits for people. They also aim to achieve greater equality of opportunity and a stronger strategic focus on prevention and health promotion. The main objective of this work is to show what climate change-induced effects can be expected on retirement and nursing homes in the coming years and what contribution climate protection measures and climate change adaptations can also make to the health of employees and very elderly, multimorbid residents in retirement and nursing homes. To this end, it is important to take innovative approaches and make targeted use of the opportunities offered by digitalization for modern care concepts.
