About the author

Kate Chatfield is an empirical ethicist at the Centre for Professional Ethics, University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) UK. She has a background in philosophy and bioethics and extensive experience in social science research. As an empirical ethicist, Kate’s research has been focused upon research ethics, research integrity and global justice.
Michelle Singh is a biomedical scientist at the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) Association, South Africa. She holds a doctorate in obstetrics and gynaecology, a master’s in biomedical science and a master’s in global bioethics. She is a co-author of the TRUST Code and partner in the PREPARED research ethics and integrity consortium.
