About the author
Dr. Satyapaul A Singh is currently an associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. He obtained his B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, and M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Indian Institute of Science (IISc). His major research areas of interest include thermocalytic gas-solid reactions (such as PrOX, WGS, CO2 hydrogenation, and reforming), photocatalytic water splitting and water treatment using advanced functional materials. He published 60+ research articles, and his h-index and i10-index stand at 25 and 35, respectively. He has reviewed 100+ journal articles for several globally reputed SCI/SCIE journals. He has guided 2 Ph.D. thesis and 5 M.E. dissertations till date. Dr. SA Singh is a recipient of Prof. N.R. Kuloor Memorial Award from IISc in 2018 and Young Scientist Award from Telangana Academy of Sciences (TAS) in 2019.
Dr. Arnab Dutta is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. He obtained his B.E. (Chemical) from Jadavpur University, M. Tech. (Chemical) from IIT Bombay, and Ph.D. (Chemical) from National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining BITS Pilani-Hyderabad, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at NUS. His major areas of research interest include process simulation, optimization, technoeconomic assessment, sustainable energy systems, machine learning, materials informatics, and computer-aided molecule design. Till date, Dr. Dutta has published 32 technical papers in various internationally reputed journals. Dr. Dutta is also presently serving as the editorial board member of the International Journal of Energy Research (Wiley) and Scientific Reports (Nature). Dr. Dutta is also the recipient of the Director’s Young Investigator Award, 2024, from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.
Dr. Z. V. P. Murthy is a full professor (HAG), Department of Chemical Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India. He did his B.Tech. from Regional Engineering College Warangal (presently National Institute of Technology Warangal), M.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, all in Chemical Engineering. His research areas include wastewater treatment, separation processes, and nanomaterials. He has guided 22 Ph.D. thesis and 43 M.Tech./M.E. Dissertations till date. Three Ph.D. theses of his students received Best Ph.D. thesis awards. Prof. Murthy was listed in the World Ranking of Scientists (2%), published by the research team from Stanford University, USA, October 2020; 2021; 2022; 2023. He has published 302 articles (which includes 212 SCI/SCIE Journals Papers, 21 International Book Chapters) and has 19 process patents and 27 design patents.
