Do you want to learn how to:
develop a mindful approach to parenting?
help kids reach their full potential and tap into their inner strengths?
improve communication with your children?

Raising Spring Kids: A Psychologist's Guide to Nurturing Mindful Kids shows you how to raise and nurture children to be:Spiritual, Positive, Resilient, Imaginative, Nimble, and Grateful (SPRING)
Generous, Respectful, Empathetic, Appreciative, and Thoughtful (GREAT).

Raising Spring Kids is a practical, strength-based guidebook that will benefit parents, therapists, educators, healthcare professionals, and anyone who works with kids. It is also a book that children can themselves use and benefit from. This book offers an innovative approach for working with young people that stands in contrast to the medical-based model of diagnosis, clinical assessment, and medication.

Raising Spring Kids integrates wisdom from Eastern and Western psychologies and philosophies alongside charismatic animal characters, captivating illustrations, and inspiring poetry. The book is structured in an accessible, easy-to-follow format, with heart-warming narratives, practical exercises, and actionable steps, augmented by clear psychological explanations, key learnings, and practice guides. Its learnings are relevant across contexts, ages, and cultures.
The creative approaches used in this book have been developed by Dr Belinda Khong over 25 years of work as a psychologist and mindfulness, meditation, and mindful parenting teacher. Raising Spring Kids is an essential companion to her Lunar New Year animal book series for kids. Dr Khong hopes this book will nourish your relationship with your children, and that you enjoy walking together to the park in all seasons instead of walking with them into her therapy room.

Raising Spring Kids contains interesting, informative explanatory notes about the origin and meaning of the Chinese names and words used in the story, the Lunar New Year, and the personality of individuals born in the year of the wood snake. It also includes a zodiac calendar for readers to discover their Chinese zodiac animal signs.
