This book is the result of studies carried out during my doctorate in education and presents a panorama of the exclusion of people with disabilities in different human civilizations, since ancient times, demonstrating that situations of exclusion of individuals with disabilities have their conditioning factors in socio-political-economic aspects, being marked by the social class to which the subject belongs. It draws a parallel with the present day, when the inclusive paradigm is being defended, highlighting the marks of an exclusionary model that denies disability in its differences and establishes compensatory policies that reinforce social inequalities. In this context, it invites the reader to question what the role of education is in this regard; is it capable of including subjects (historically) condemned to exclusion?
