Given the importance of gasoline to society and Brazil's potential for exploiting lanthanide elements, this book is a scientific and technological contribution to the subject. The general purpose of the book is to present a bibliographical review, a description of the synthesis of catalysts, physical-chemical characterizations and the catalytic tests carried out. Specifically, the book deals with the effect of the elements Neodymium and Praseodymium on the properties of the bifunctional platinum catalyst supported on zeolite Y: structure, acidity, textural aspects, dispersion of the metallic phase, activity and catalytic selectivity in the Naphtha reforming reaction.
