Anatomy of the cambium and wood of Schizolobium parahyba var. amazonicum - Anatomical characterization of the cambium and wood of paricá trees planted in clearings in Eastern Amazonia

With the increase in the area planted with paricá in the Amazon, it is important to know the influence of silvicultural management on the properties of the wood produced. Knowing that many of the wood's properties are related to its anatomical structure and that this is partly determined by the size of the cambium cells, understanding both tissues is fundamental to characterizing the quality of the wood that is being planted in the region.

Luiz Eduardo L. Melo est titulaire d'un diplôme en technologie agro-industrielle avec une spécialisation en bois de l'université d'État du Pará. Il est titulaire d'une maîtrise et d'un doctorat en science et technologie du bois de l'université fédérale de Lavras. Il est actuellement professeur au département de technologie et de ressources naturelles de l'université d'État du Pará (UEPA).
