The state of Manipur, located in northeast part of India is an integral part of Indian culture, civilization and polity. Mention of Manipur is there in the epic Mahabharata, when Pandav came to this part of India during their exile and Arjuna married princes Chitrangada of Manipur. Later, when Pandava decided to perform Ashamed Yajna to declare Yudhishthira as emperor of India, the horse of the Yoga was imprisoned by none other than son of Chitrangada and Arjuna, named as Babrubahana. Basically, people of Manipur are peace loving, culturally advanced people. Manipuri dance is one of the classical dances of India and is very popular. But las few years, Manipur is facing ethnic clashes and is burning. Many people lost their life and properties and became homeless in their own motherland. No one is doing anything concrete for permanent peace and tranquility in Manipur. The people of India living in other part of the country are indifferent not serious about sufferings in Manipur. Tears of Chitrangada is the reflection of my mental agony and pain for the people of Manipur.
