In this book I study the history of the North-Northeast Santa Catarina Alternative Scene between 1990-2010. In cities such as Joinville, Guaramirim, Jaraguá do Sul and Schroeder (Santa Catarina, Brazil), young people created several independent bands, without the support of record companies, inspired by punk and alternative styles. This scene, which began in the 1990s, has undergone countless changes in its organizational forms over the last two decades. Among the factors that have contributed to these changes, the massive use of the internet and the new digital recording technologies can be pointed to as the main agents in changing the way the scenes work, which have been losing ground in the cities and occupying virtual spaces. So, in this book I've tried to look at the history of the North-Northeast Santa Catarina Alternative scene, its bands, its spaces and its main characteristics, and through its history the relationship between alternative scenes and politics, and the relationship between them and the internet.
