The aim of this study was to review Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and its immunological alterations in an attempt to understand the immunological process and its pathophysiological mechanism, the inflammatory process that affects the joints leading to lesions. Today, the concern to carry out this literature review on RA is justified by the rates of morbidity and mortality. It is necessary to explore new existing raw materials and carry out a critical analysis and in-depth studies on the therapeutic use of Taurine in RA and studies on new perspectives in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis based on Taurine. Some researchers have synthesized Taurine and studied it in animal models (rats), showing inhibition of the body's defense cells triggered by antigens and a reduction in immune responses.
