About the author

Janet Salmon is the chief product owner for management accounting at SAP SE and has accompanied many developments to the controlling components of SAP ERP Financials as both a product and a solution manager. She regularly works with key customers and user groups in the United States and Germany to understand their controlling challenges and requirements. Her role is to design and implement innovative controlling solutions with SAP’s development teams in Germany and China. She is the author of SAP PRESS books Controlling with SAP S/4HANA: Business User Guide, SAP S/4HANA Finance: The Reference Guide to What’s New, and Controlling with SAP ERP: Business User Guide.Stefan Walz is chief business process achitect for SAP S/4HANA financials at SAP. He has more than 30 years of SAP financials experience through his work in consulting and financials development. He is co-inventor of the Universal Journal-based management accounting and event-based revenue recognition. Today, Stefan is responsible for the process integration of customer projects, service management, and sales into SAP S/4HANA financial accounting.
