Educational processes in biology education are defined not only by the acquisition of relevant subject matter but also about the encounter, confrontation, and transformation of the self. Dr. Ulrich Gebhard is a Senior Professor at the Faculty of Educational Science at Bielefeld University.

Dr. Armin Lude is a Professor for Biology and Biology Education at Ludwigsburg University of Education.

Dr. Andrea Möller is a Professor for Biology Education at the University of Vienna and heads the Austrian Educational Competence Center for Biology.

Dr. Alexandra Moormann is a Researcher and Head of the Education Department at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin.
