Institutionalization and development from the perspective of organizations - An experience in the Seridó region of Rio Grande do Norte

Studying the semi-arid region is challenging, especially the Seridó Territory in Rio Grande do Norte. This paper presents various aspects that help to interpret development and coexistence with the semi-arid region. The use of the new institutional theory and the perspective of the managers of the organizations that operate in this territory has demonstrated an analytical path that can contribute to the development and promotion of public policies capable of improving quality of life and human development indicators.

Profesor investigador de la Universidad Estatal de Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), es licenciado y máster en Administración por la UFPB y doctor en Extensión Rural por la UFSM. Realiza trabajos de investigación y extensión sobre desarrollo y gestión pública. Participó en la creación del Departamento de Innovación y Emprendimiento de la UERN.
