Lung cancer is a chronic non-communicable disease and is currently the leading cause of cancer-related death in the Americas. The highest incidence and mortality rates for this disease occur in North America and Cuba, while the lowest rates are recorded in the Caribbean. The aim of this study was to characterize the necrotized deceased with the clinicopathological diagnosis of lung carcinoma in the General Teaching Hospital "Dr. Agostinho Neto" of Guantánamo. For this purpose, a retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out in 114 deceased with the pathological clinical diagnosis of lung carcinoma in the period given between 2017-2020. In the study carried out, the most affected age group was 51 to 70 years old, most of them were from urban origin, non-smokers and without family history. The largest number of deceased were workers. The most frequent histological type was squamous cell carcinoma and in the distribution by clinical stage was more frequent stage III of the disease.
