The aim of this work was to develop a different form of teaching practice for the study of the Periodic Table, with students from a special Correction of Flow series at the Professor Anacleto Damiani Basic Education School, in the municipality of Abelardo Luz, Santa Catarina. The Alternative Table was handmade by the teacher using recycled paper, produced by the Flow Correction students by cutting, assembling and writing. A total of 118 cubes representing the elements of the Periodic Table were made, with information on each side, such as the symbol and name of the chemical element, atomic number, electronic distribution, mass number and applications. The Periodic Table was used in Science and Chemistry lessons, during which topics contextualised to the environment and students' daily lives were covered, such as preservation, rubbish, composition, recycling and reuse, relating some elements and chemical substances to the elements of the Periodic Table.
