This also impacts how Palestinians and other oppressed communities might view their identity and culture.

This qualitative study investigated the experiences of Palestinians living in the Netherlands through photo elicitation interview with participatory action research. The sample consisted of Palestinians who are living in the Netherlands for at least one year. The data was collected through semi structured interviews with questions based on the pictures the participants shared. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis based on semi structured interviews. The main themes that were identified in the research were "Having a voice", "Creating a safe space", "Pride in Identity", "October 7th as a turning point" and "Ambivalence".
