Rainbows, Not Rain

Rainbows, Not Rain is a story about acceptance and inclusion that looks at today's diverse society through the eyes of one child. A child who gives their own unique perspective on diversity and who encourages acceptance and respect among peers in order to create a vibrant, inclusive learning environment in the school community.

About the author

Renee Stewart has been an educator at the elementary level for 18 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at the University of Windsor. After working many years with the Government of Ontario, she decided to follow her true calling of nurturing young minds by completing the Montessori Teachers' Education Program at Sheridan College. Her teaching experience in a diverse Mississauga school inspired her to write Rainbows, Not Rain. She currently resides in Caledon, Ontario, with her husband and two boys.
