This work aimed to improve the maintenance of vehicle repairs for the LAND ROVER brand. The work was carried out as a Master's dissertation in Automotive Mechanical Engineering and is the result of research into more than 2,000 repairs carried out by THE SPECIALIST vehicle repair company. Based on the life analysis of water pumps, it was concluded that a failure in the engine's water pump could lead to the complete loss of the engine, with high costs for the vehicle owner, so PRO ATIVA maintenance was chosen, choosing a period for checking/changing the water pump at specific intervals, calculated using suitable life analysis software. This maintenance has been in place for around 6 years now and has yielded good results in terms of savings for the customer.
