About the author
Dr. Alireza Bahrami is an Associate Professor of Civil and Structural Engineering and the Head of Subject at the University of Gävle, Sweden. With extensive experience in both academia and industry, he has worked in various consulting and construction firms, alongside his academic roles at multiple universities.
He has taught a broad range of specialized courses to both master’s and bachelor’s students in Civil and Structural Engineering and has supervised and examined numerous PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s theses. He has conducted significant research, publishing articles in high-ranking journals and presenting at international conferences. He has also held several leadership roles at universities, including Department Head of Civil and Structural Engineering, Chairman of the Structural Engineering Specialization Committee, and Member of the University’s Research and Technology Committee.
In industry, he has worked on a variety of civil and structural engineering projects and has held several key positions in companies, including Managing Director, Board Member, Successor to Managing Director, Head of Technical Office, Project Manager, Head of Designs and Studies, Head Supervisor, Senior Structural Designer, Calculations Ambassador, and Construction Site Engineer.
