About the author

Kirsten W. Larson used to work with rocket scientists at NASA. Now she writes books for curious kids, including Wood, Wire, Wings: Emma Lilian Todd Invents an Airplane, A True Wonder; The Comic Book Hero Who Changed Everything; and The Fire of Stars: The Life and Brilliance of the Woman Who Discovered What Stars Are Made Of. Cornelia Li is a Chinese born illustrator currently based in Toronto, Canada. She is intrigued by narrative weaved into daily interaction between people and their surroundings. The illustrator of Nature’s Light Spectacular, Voyage Through Space, Animals at Night, and Gravity Is Bringing Me Down, her work has been recognized by Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Communication Arts, The AOI, 3x3 Illustration, National Magazine Award, and more.
