The irresponsible consumption of alcoholic beverages constitutes a relevant social medical problem due to the harmful consequences it has on man, the family and the economy, elements that confront us with the reality that alcoholism constitutes a current and future health problem, perhaps of more importance than the behavior of some infectious diseases, and even of some chronic non-transmissible diseases, for which reason we have set the following as the General Objective of the Research: To determine the characteristics in the personological functioning that predispose to Violence in dependent alcoholic subjects. We have taken as a sample, from a universe of dependent alcoholic patients from the suburban area of Santa Clara city, two study groups, previously dispensed with the help of the basic work group and carefully differentiated in 10 non-violent alcoholic dependent subjects and 10 alcoholic dependent subjects with violent behavior. To achieve our research purpose we instrumentally based ourselves on the use of different techniques.
