The continuously moving construction of our gaze leads us hand in hand to the contemporaneous construction of memory. The relationship between the self and time can only be formulated from a timeless state, stopped, embracing stillness, where we lie down to contemplate the horizon of what cannot be expressed with the meaning that gives so much weight to words. María Isabel Luque proposes this 'encounter with time' from a different and creative temporality, from which the poetic space springs. The games of identity and its contradictions are suspended in what María Zambrano came to define as 'poetic reason': a creative center where space and time configure a sphere of freedom and self-consciousness, revelation, self-healing and self-expression. El tiempo tras las horas' is a collection of poems that delves into the spatio-temporal paradoxes of the multiple planes of who we are and how we project ourselves in our reality. It is proposed as a work that deals with time, that reflects on it and turns it into a motif of relationship with poetry. The concern for the expiration of existence, what is left of us, what remains and the otherness that survives in our desires and longings make this book one of the most radical formulations of the theme that -along with love- has been the greatest source of inspiration for all human beings.
