Rhetoric - The art of revealing discourse

In this book there are 3 articles, produced by the author from presentations at congresses in Brazil in recent years, which illustrate the importance of Rhetoric for reading texts as an efficient tool for understanding rhetorical resources, argumentative strategies and sophistry used for persuasion and manipulation. Some texts have been analysed to make the reader aware of the importance of knowing this art in order to unmask the true meaning of current discourses.

Doctorante et étudiante en Master en Cognition et Langage à l'Université d'Etat du Norte-Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF). Titulaire d'une bourse CAPES / PDSE (programme de doctorat en alternance à l'étranger) à l'université de Porto, faculté des lettres. Spécialisée en rhétorique. Membre de la Société internationale pour l'histoire de la rhétorique (ISHR) et de la Société brésilienne de rhétorique.
