Summary

Bridging the literature on framing strategy and organizational ecology, this Element presents two mechanisms by which CSOs adopt climate justice frames: self-representation and surrogate-representation. It also suggests that these different patterns of frame development may have a long-term consequence for how we think about climate change.

Foreword

Civil society organizations are actively shaping climate justice discourse at UNFCCC. Who tells whose story and why?
