Set in late 20th-century Argentina, Northern Ireland, and the United States, You've Found Her explores the complexities of creating a cross-cultural adult family in the midst of ongoing political intrigue and past relationships based on lies. It tells the intertwined stories of exiled Argentine spy, Ofelia Cruz, and the twin daughters she gave up at birth. The twins, who grew up separately in Argentina and the United States, first met six months previously at the age of 38. Motivated to develop their own relationship as well as understand the reasons for their mother's life decisions, they travel to Northern Ireland to meet with Ofelia where she has been in hiding for the past eight years. There, they begin the difficult process of cutting through the layers of self-protection each has created as they faced the challenges of their unique life histories. At the same time, their reunion launches events that stir up forces driving Ofelia out of hiding and back into Argentina's complex political landscape, ultimately freeing the three women to move on with their lives and unite as a family in unexpected ways.

About the author

Lynn Woodworth Gregory was born in 1947 in New Rochelle, NY; lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina between the ages of one and six during the post-World War II dictatorship of Juan Perón; and spent the remainder of her childhood in Norwalk CT. Her father was an international businessman who worked in the export-import field and their home was often visited by people from around the world. It was consequently not surprising that Lynn ended up with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social and Cultural Anthropology (along with a doctorate in Foundations of Education), and a professional career that revolved around research designed to learn about different cultures and ways to bridge gaps in cross-cultural communication. Throughout her forty-year career, she met and heard the stories of many interesting people, many of whom, along with her own life experiences, inspired the creation of her fictional characters and stories. This book is a second edition of The Other Side of a Tapestry, her first completed work of fiction which was originally published in 2021.
